Justin Weiler (εικαστικός)
Ο Justin Weiler γεννήθηκε το 1990 στο Παρίσι. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών της Nantes όπου ζει και εργάζεται. Τώρα είναι τελειόφοιτος της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Παρισιού. Το μέσο έκφρασής του είναι η ζωγραφική με λάδι, την οποία έχει προσωρινά παραμερίσει για να αφιερωθεί στη δουλεά με το μελάνι.
Στη δημιουργία του παίζει με τα μοτίβα και τις πηγές φωτός. Το φάσμα αρχίζει από το ομιχλώδες, νεφελώδες φως και εκτίνεται μέχρι τους ιριδισμούς, περιέχει παιχνίδια με τις δονήσεις του μαύρου, εκρήξεις σκότους και παιχνίδια με σκιές. Τα ίχνη του χρόνου είναι προφανή, η σπίλωση, η διαδικασία αλλοίωσης, τα χρώματα του νερού. Με την εμμονή της χειρονομίας και τη μηχανική επανάληψη της διαδοχής των μονοχρωματικών επιστρώσεων προκύπτει το αρχικό θέμα ως αναπαράσταση και η γραμμή μεταμορφώνεται σε σχέδιο. Νικητής του Βραβείου Εικαστικών Τεχνών της Nantes, έχει επίσης επιλεγεί για την Μπιενάλε του Mulhouse του 2017 και την Μπιενάλε του Issy-les-Moulineaux. Έχει επίσης βραβευτεί στην Μπιενάλε Arts Actuels του CRAC του Champigny sur Marne και μια ατομική του έκθεση θα λάβει χώρα εκεί τον Νοέμβριο του 2017.

Justin Weiler was born in Paris in 1990. He graduated from the Superior School of Fine Arts of Nantes where he lives and works. Now he is in his last year of studies in the National Superior Fine Arts School of Paris. His principal means of expression is oil painting, but he has temporarily put that aside in order to consecrate himself to ink drawing.
In his artworks he plays with motifs and light sources ranging from a halo to a ray. He plays with the vibrations of black in a dance of shadows. The traces of time are visible, as well as the pollution, the process of alteration, the color of the water. Through the obsession of the gesture and the mechanical repetition of the successions of monochromatic layers the initial subject is represented and the lines build up to a drawing. He has the Prize of Visual Arts of Nantes and has been selected for the Biennale of Mulhouse 2017 and the Biennale of Issy-les-Moulineaux. He also received a prize in the Biennale des Arts Actuels of CRAC in Champigny sur Marne and an individual exhibition of his will be hosted there in November 2017.
