Claudia Tennant (εικαστικός)
Η Claudia Tennant γεννήθηκε στο Johannesburg το 1988. Ζει στο βόρειο Παρίσι πάνω από ένα σενεγαλέζικο εστιατόριο.
Μέσα από τη δουλειά της προσπαθεί να εξετάσει το φαινόμενο του μαρσουπιλάμι σαν μια μεταφορική ερμηνεία ταυτόχρονα του George Grosz και του τουίστ.
Αυτό που άρχισε σαν ένα προσωπικό ταξίδι στην αισχρότητα μεταφράστηκε στην εικόνα της κυτταρίτιδας που κάνει τους λευκούς να αναρωτιούνται σχετικά με το πόσο μωβ είναι.
Οι σωλήνες των εγκαταστάσεων της σε μικτές τεχνικές είναι η ενσάρκωση μιας ιδιοσυγκρασιακής άποψης του Δαλάι Λάμα, εν τούτοις η οικεία εικονολογία της επιτρέπει το συσχετισμό ανάμεσα στον Prince, τους δήθεν και το παγωτό.
Έργα της βρίσκονται στην ιδιωτική συλλογή του Lauren Tewes που είπε ‘«Τι είναι η αγάπη;!», είναι μια πολύ μάγκικη τέχνη’.
Έχει βραβευτεί με υποτροφία από τις φυλακές του Folsom, όπου εξέτισε ποινή για κλοπή φλυτζανιών και κλιπ γραβάτων από το μαγαζί K21. Εξέθεσε σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις στο Starbucks και το Hauser Wirth & Schimell, αν και όχι την ίδια περίοδο. Σήμερα περνά το χρόνο της ανάμεσα στην κουζίνα της και το Βερολίνο.

Claudia Tennant was born in Johannesburg in 1988. She currently lives in the North of Paris above a Senegalese restaurant.
Through her work, she attempts to examine the phenomenon of marsupilami as a metaphorical interpretation of both George Grosz and twisting.
What began as a personal journey of obscenism has translated into images of cottage cheese and leg that resonate with white people to question their own purpleness.
Her mixed media tubes embody an idiosyncratic view of the Dalai Lama, yet the familiar imagery allows for a connection between Prince, wannabees and popsicles.
Her work is in the private collection of Lauren Tewes who said "What is love?!", that's some real badass Art.'
She is a recipient of a grant from Folsom Prison where she served time for stealing mugs and tie clips from the gift shop of The K21. She has exhibited in group shows at Starbucks and Hauser Wirth & Schimmel, though not at the same time. She currently spends her time between her kitchen and Berlin.
